那天下午突然手脚不听使唤地抽起来，眼前一黑就啥也不知道了。等醒过来时，已经躺在古蔺县人民医院的抢救室，浑身插着管子。医生拿着检查单说：
1．右侧小脑半球及小脑扁桃体急性期脑梗死；右侧顶叶、海马尾部及左侧顶枕叶急性期腔梗灶。
2．颅内散在脑白质高信号（ Fazekas 2级），少许软化灶伴周围胶质增生；脑萎缩。
3．左侧椎﹣基底动脉迂曲。
4．双侧副鼻窦粘膜稍增厚，右侧下鼻甲肥厚。
5．颈椎椎间盘变性，颈3/4椎间盘向后膨突出
这些词我听不懂，只明白一点——我病得很重。
连夜做完手术后，命暂时保住了，可下半身彻底没了知觉。现在我躺在病床上，翻身、吃饭都得靠人喂，连咳痰都费劲。一辈子要强的人，如今像个婴儿一样离不开人，夜里常常睁着眼到天亮，眼泪把枕头都浸湿了。
更让人揪心的是医药费。才几天功夫，检查费、手术费、护理费加起来，已经欠了7万多。护士说后续康复治疗还得一大笔钱，可我家早就拿不出一分了。老伴身体不好，常年吃药，家里本就没积蓄；儿子在农村种地，四个孙子最小的才一岁多点，日子过得紧巴巴，为了给我凑钱，他们跑遍了亲戚家，把能借的都借了，女儿每天甚至守在病房外打地铺。
看着儿女们熬红的眼睛，看着老伴偷偷抹泪，我心里像被刀割一样。我这辈子没求过人，可现在真的走投无路了。我想活下去，想再看看院里的老槐树发芽，想再听孙子喊一声爷爷，想少给孩子们添点负担。
